Okay… I loved Star Trek growing up (so) treat this as a biased endorsement (but) Star Trek freaking rocks…!  You must see it on the big screen in a theatre with great audio too.  The special effects are flawless, the storyline is compelling and the characters are both an homage to the TV series and a bit of a new direction (brash, young, fun-loving and fallible).
Bottom-line: Star Trek is a love-affair with all of Star Trek that has come before (but) it’s the first week of the affair—unpredictable, new, intoxicating, heady… and like that new love, you don’t want to leave (and) you can’t wait to get back for more!
Oh—there seems ample room for many more to follow.
